I know this is a super old video but I watched 5 videos before yours that claimed to show setup and none of them actually showed the setup like yours. I also had left the adapter at the bottom of the box so you saved me a lot of frustration. Thank you!

Thanks for the mention of the adapter to attach the mic. It felt out while I was unpacking and I thought I had to go out and buy a shock mount. You save me $50. Thanks.

can the lower arm pivot about the point where the arm attaches to the desk to make the lower arm go down flat, low and parallel to the desk? Thank you

What shock mount did you use? And do you even need it?

A shock mount is never wasted money, in fact its a must have when you have an boom arm like that. It would have been better for you if you didn't saw the adapter in my opinion :P

Is the platform that you attached the clamp to screwed down into the desk may I ask? I'm looking to get this stand and attach it to something similar- I'm a bit worried the weight of the stand, mic, filter and shock mount will make the whole thing fall over if it's just freestanding! Thanks

Using the microphone on the camera for this review. The microphone in the video is an old Behringer B1 that doesn't get a lot of airtime anymore. Just used it for the demonstration.
