I am in Atlanta and have been driving since late 2016 but I have now noticed that Uber is managing, dispatching and controlling drivers through the App, denying drivers the ability to set destination, etc....also using nudging techniques to lure drivers in undesirable locations and forcing drivers to work there doing long distance pick ups, wasting time, gas and losing money.

Been telling people this for years. Most told me I was nuts.

If The drivers stop accepting everything that Uber and Lyft throw at them and drive Smart and play the same games Uber and Lyft play with them then we can win.

I didn't think this was true until it happened to me. I just started in January, and maybe I was in some sort of honeymoon period. Lately, I have been sitting for like an hour before getting a ride. I have noticed that since the college students are gone, that I have less rides, and I thought maybe that was the reason, but there has to be something else going on. I was talking with a passenger about the platform, only because he brought it up. And I was discussing how on the passenger side riders are saying they have to wait long periods of time before they get a ride, and I shared how it's the same thing on the driver side. So if there are people wanting rides then why is it taking so long for me to be paired with someone? I drive for Lyft, and I have to keep driving during their specify times to get points for the perks, but they have not been offering me points during the time when I'm online, so I've lost my ranking. It's just really starting to become frustrating. My new strategy is to wait in one spot, not drive around to save fuel, to get a ride, or head to the neighboring city. If I don't get a ride within an hour, I'm just done for the day, unfortunately.

Pareve Sergio, for the first piece, patience, so say someone only doing it part-time and he/she is only on for a couple of hours, with patience they won't make good money, even if they were doing it for full time, waiting will make them lose money, and they could be put in the shadow so they won't get requests for 30 min or more.
For the second piece; position, study the map no one can do this including yourself and you know it, how could you say that and you drive for Lyft/uber yourself, and you know that once your are out and in a good spot/location a good ride that makes you accept it and it can take you away from everything, or to a senior city like Santa Clarita where the people sleep at 6pm there, and to go back again to that good spot you will waste your gas and the time will be changed as well as the surge in that good area, you cannot control where to work or what area you will end up driving in.
same for your third advice/piece; the plan, what plan are you talking about because I didn't get it? can you give a simple/dumb example for a plan? all that a driver can plan for is what area he/she will start at and that's all, after that nobody can predict or know anything, it is like jumping into the ocean, once you jump in and get away from the shore/beach "your good spot that you chose to start at" the waves "rides/passengers" will take you wherever they want to go. Please be logical and realistic or give more elaboration with examples and simplify. You ended the video by saying "and then you guys all will complain" that's what you do in every video you make Sergio, I never heard you mentioning anything positive even once in any of your videos, try to give hope try to point to the positives, not just complaining, if you need examples for positive things you could say "at least people who don't have certifications or study or language, they can still make money to feed their children/family" at least we have a job and it's the only one job that won't ask you to stay more time or start hour and end hour, they can't tell how many breaks you can take during your shift, you can take whatever breaks you want you can be offline as long as you want, etc... a lot of things to help people get some hope, we already have enough from covid to gas prices, to war, God know whats next, I'm not with uber nor lyft and I know about all you said and all the bad things happening and what you are doing is good to point to some wong acts but how about try to find a solution for the issues that you're pointing at all the time, they are not paying enough in some markets, they give a limit for cancellations and acceptance, and many more but they are who think and got the idea and spread it and they solved the problem of transportation when it was only yellow cabs and we all know how bad they were, I like when you point at negative and wrong things they do but not bad things in every video always bad news bad things happening hey uber did this lyft did that, no good news? i talked too much but because every time I watch a video of you I know before I click that it's not gonna be happy, it is the truth ok but what about the other things you can talk about like other drivers' experiences, how to make more money while driving beside wrapify and those things, don't only mention those who sponsor Campbell, you should bring everything on the table so everyone can benefit. upside app it doesn't make any discounts in Arco only expensive gas stations which is useless to cashback 25 cents per gallon while the gallon at those stations is already sky higher than all the cheap ones. For God's sake. No offense to anyone of you guys and I always watch your videos and I will keep watching but don't say complaints we all know and we're already living it every day, just think about our good what to do to get more money, where to find good deals on used SUVs, which rental car company is better, any driver's experience like bedtime stories, make a survey for example to know different fare ranges in different states, what are best times to go out, stay away of what, good mechanics "auto shops" best deals locations, fancy and fine dining restaurants to stay around for high fare orders. And please don't take what I said in an offensive way. Finally, what I wanted to say if you focused your thoughts and put the effort for bad and negative things you will always bring that but if you focus your thought and your effort to bring good news and good stuff we will always profit something on every video you make, we will know something new we will learn more things.

OMG the game playing is so spot on! I’ve been in a straight battle with the algorithm. I usually leave my house and set destination to where I want to be. It pulls me down to the hood where I don’t want to be and maybe I make it to my destination or it “times out!” I use my second destination filter to go home. Lately it’s been taking away my second I just checked right now and both are gone for today. I will end up dead heading to my spot and dead heading home today. I’m not going to be drawn into this stupid game they are playing. It’s costing me potential money but it’s worth it not to comply. Quest last week was 50 bucks for 30 rides this week same quest is 30 bucks for same amount of rides. Had a busy day after holiday (Juneteenth) and yesterday (Wednesday) was absolute crap! Let’s see what today brings. It’s like playing a video game trying to beat the computer. This company has sunken to an all new low! I’ve been driving almost 7 years and I’ve been trying to hang in there but I think it’s about time for me to hang it up and move on to getting setup with private clients. Or stop driving all together and look at doing something else!

Rewards means nothing until they lower the commercial auto insurance and “other fees”.

The only way to beat these apps is to be on other apps. The other apps do not know what the other app is doing, so we become powerful by choosing whoever 'Shows the all gig apps (that makesense) and turn all on and choose a gig wisely as they come in and keep you busy.

Omg you guys are hilarious & informative. On the Lyft app, if I don't accept 2 rides in a row (sometimes 1 & sometimes 3 in a row), I don't get any more ride requests. So I have to go Offline & wait 15 minutes before going back Online to receive ride requests again. They time you out. Can you guys talk about this? What's the actual number of minutes I gotta wait before going back online when this happens? I hate it.

Too many gadgets in that car. You need one phone and one camera. That's all I need. If I were riding in that care it'd get a three.
Driving is no game for me. I understand the AI. It sends me AWAY from a +$6.50 airport, and fine. I take the ride and no more. I will drive back to ground zero and start again. There are plenty there, too. No need to do quests, boosts or chase hot zones. Eventually, the AI learns. I will always have a ride.

I’ll be in a surge area with Lyft and not get a single ride 😂😂😂
