FAKE £199 Taylormade P770 Irons vs Taylormade P770 Irons...

A few weeks ago, we put a set of Fake Taylormade P770 Irons head to head with a Real set of Taylormade P770 Irons, and although the numbers weren't too bad, the shafts felt horrendous!

In today's video we're retesting the fake p770 irons against a real p770 iron, but this time, we've resifted the fake head with a real shaft!...

The slight different shape maybe the fact the fake is a copy of the older model 2021 I believe. The latest fakes are out now haha! Love these videos BTW. Keep up the good work

The biggest issue has to be fakes circulating in the 2nd hand market being sold on as genuine irons.

Just bought a set with steel shafts, I'm a 8 handicapper and I think there great, playing below 8 with them, but am going to re shaft and grip footprints the long haul.... I know it's not the right thing to do but at that price point 🤷 Paid €170 plus 40 import duty, and arrived in 9 days from AliExpress

I had an idea of buying a very old set of irons (old dunlop sets can be found at carboots less than £10) and swapping the heads with these, cheaper way to repurpose old clubs

Great work again Gary, bit scary how real the fake irons look. If u buy fake irons u get what u get but do worry some people might try sell them on as genuine irons and scam people

we need a simple band saw test. the obvious question should be to view the hollow body design....thats the tech you are paying for.

The fitting guy has a great swing, doesn't look like he rotates much on the way back but certainly does on impact. Could learn from him!

Great show again, personally for the money I would recommend to anyone looking to move on from there mixed bag of old clubs, brand new McGregor irons at £250 then in a couple of years move up again to whatever great comes from caley, takomo, if they improve in what they are offering now we are all in for a treat, keep them coming mate.

How did the fake react to shot shaping? Was it just as responsive when trying to shape shots?

That was well interesting. Just out of interest can you add length to a shaft or so you just need to get new shafts?

Wow really surprised at those results, can only think the fakes won't last as long 🤔
Some people will probably buy these after watching this and put their own shafts in.

I got the new 770s from Aliexpress with DG shafts they work just fine to me.. The seller said the internal tech was the same

I've had mizuno Mp20's from ali until recently now real ping i230. The metal wasnt as soft as real mizunos ( ive got 225 3 and 4 iron). But theyve hit well, just the mp20 in itself was too unforgiving for me. Ping i230 are in a whole different class in regards to consistency but if you are starting out I feel its better to get aliexpress new than old and worn 8 year old genuine second hand. You will not get a forged iron but it can get you to a 15 hcp no problem, and I didnt swap shafts. Just S flex on ali

I don't think I could go through all the hassle of buying the fakes, playing them and find the shafts are crap then having all the shafts replaced. I think if I was short an cash I would go either second hand or if I had to have new clubs I would look at some of the direct to consumer sets, to me they are better options.
