Double Hand Transplant Surgery Successful in India

It was the first surgery of its kind in New Delhi and doctors say it was a success. A double hand transplant was carried out and the patient is reportedly doing very well since the procedure in January. A woman who pledged to donate her organs was declared brain dead. The man who received her hands is a painter and he was kept ready for the surgery. When the woman’s family decided to take her off life support, they also carried out her final wish. as an artist i'm glad this painter was given the gift of hands, of course you can make art without hands but I think it is the most important and valuable limbs we have, we use them everywhere and all the time. To artists they mean a lot so I'm happy this painter gets a chance to keep making beautiful artworks.

What an amazing action and medical discovery. I didn't even think that you could have hands transplant. I thought it was just orgains, i hope that the painter is doing well and that it's a great job to the doctors who made this transplant god so well
