This is the Gothenburg 2 trial in Sweden, started 2015. The Gothenburg 1 trial showed that PSA tests are not good enough alone for screening so with the G2 trial MRI is added. The end goal is to get a screening program in place nationwide and hopefully other countries follow.

There is so much to love about this short, Dr. Glauc! Particularly because I worked for the Chief of MRI at big-name-hospital when I left investment banking and went back to school to get my premed credits. And even he, a Harvard MD who simultaneously earned a PhD from MIT in biophysics, obviously cannot top the engineering of Texaco Mike🤣🤣🤣‼️👍😃

MRI targeted prostate biopsy has been a standard for several years now. One friend did in fact have cancer which seems to have been successfully treated. Another friend had BPH with several lesions. He had to have his prostate removed due to the BPH. He had an aquablation procedure.

i guess it must be newer info but i remember very distinctly in med school high PSA is more likely indicative of BPH than prostate cancer. it's nice to know some information is sticking to my brain.
