Fabulous lesson! Tony Joe White is, as you said, criminally underrated! And I love how you emphasize getting that groove going first. Thanks!

His last three studio albums was absolutely magic, and the concert from Amsterdam too. The Shine was good too, and Snakey too. Thanks for the lesson, he's got a very personal guitar touch

Hey Brian, great lesson. Wanted to mention, I really appreciate that you take the time to describe what you’re doing specifically in terms of finger and fretboard location. I’m a blind guitar player and it’s rough when people say look at what I’m doing but don’t describe it. Keep up the good work man! Thanks

You are an amazing teacher. What a breath of fresh air. I was a professional guitarist until I broke and burnt my left hand. After many surgeries my ring finger is still crooked. I think your teaching method may allow me to play again. I’ll be in touch and let you know. If I can learn the technique in this video I may have to join your website.

Brian thank you for the Tony Joe White suggestion, love the talent this man has and can't believe that I've missed out for so long. Practice took a hit tonight, put down the guitar and spent over an hour listening to this mans great music. You do a fantastic job.

Hi Brian, I know the name but first time playing his style and it's contagious for sure. I'm so spoiled finding these hidden gems, so what will I do when they run out? Play them over again, lol. Thanks Brian. I keep putting your name out everyday so I hope it's bringing you some more customers, least I can do. Peace 🕊️.

Good Lesson. Thank you. On a side note, I’ve come across many technically adept players who have heard his tunes and say, “That’s easy”. Then they try to emulate Tony’s style and come to the consluson that it’s a lot harder that it appears to be 😉

Sir, You're the man with teaching guitar and appreciate this lesson so much! I've played cowboy chords and finger picking like Blaze trying to improve a few hours a day. This is the first guitar video I've watched that gave clear concise information that wasn't going so fast; not to mention the "Look at Me!" egos. I didn't even know what the parts were called. Your an amazing teacher even for this old man. Thanks so much from the Arkansas Delta, hour from Memphis! It's amazing a bunch of people play here, but they are for the most part; for the lack of a better term, "music snobs". Nobody wants to get together and play. I have even offered to let a person use a guitar and show them what I knew. I've never played with another musician because of that counterintuitive thinking here. It's strange. I'm going to the beginning of your series.

I'm a big fan of TJW's understated less is more style. I've been playing a couple of TJW tunes in pub bands for too many years and have been looking at others interpretations on you tube. You clearly get what TJW is about. Enjoyed your take on it. Nice.
