I bought mine in 2009 and have put 97, 000 miles on it, I've loved every one. The dealer had 2 and they were deeply discounted because they had been on the lot for almost a year. I knew when I first saw it that it would be something special for the ages, I'm so glad I bought it. In 2015 I bought the last APR supercharger kit they had on the shelf, taking mine to 688HP at the crank (APR tested). A lot of people called me crazy because the kit was $15, 000, and going forced induction wasn't a good move. Let me tell you, it puts a smile on my face every time it cranks to life. 15 years later and I still look over my shoulder when I walk away. In addition to the supercharger I've added: suspension upgrades, brake upgrades, clutch upgrades, exhaust, and a short throw shifter rounds out my "Beast."

2005 - 2010 was golden era of car design - curves flowed and aesthetics were balanced, and nothing was drawn with a ruler...

Fell in love with B7 RS4 the moment I saw and read about it. I have one now, I must say even if you drive one now within limits minding your own business, it somehow turn heads plus it tends to instigates other sports cars and supercars pull behind us or on the side just waiting to hear the V8 sing through the oval pipes!

The stance is on point, it's not ridiculously low and it enhances those wide hips.

To answer you comment regarding quality in this RS4, keep in mind that these days there was only one RS model per year. So they used to put all the quattroGmbH (now Audi Sport) division’ efforts to produce and deliver the best they could on one model in contrast with today’s 7 or 8 RSs per year.

Had a b7 rs4 and a b9. The b9 is definitely built better but for pretty much everything else the b7 rs4 was incredible. Favorite car I’ve ever owned.

That's the beauty of all S and RS from Audi in that golden era... they all were refined and comfortable enough to be daily cruisers, but stick it in the right gear, get it on boost if it was turbo'd, and you had a very competent sports car. Perfectly balanced, best of both worlds. And the build quality was mint. Stuff did wear out with miles, but nothing ever just randomly broken or stopped working - well, very rarely.

I've had my Sprint Blue B7 Sedan for 4 years now and I love it to bits. I will never sell it, it is irreplaceable. It brings a smile to my face every time I drive it.

I agree 💯%.

Even the 2003 Audi RS6 twin-turbo v8 was, and still is, today, astonishing to me!

I test drove one in 2006 and fell in love with it. The body design is subtle, yet very aggressive. I still would love to get one of these!

Great review. Makes me miss mine so bad. It’s the one car I have always seriously regretted selling. Up here in Canada close to the Rocky Mountains I’d put Blizzaks on in the winter and it was an absolute beast and blast in the snow. Never put a wheel out of place. Audi’s Quattro really is the finest system out there. I miss everything about that car. Thanks for the good memories.

Mine is put away for storage now that it is October. Bought mine new, installed air intake and spacers, other than that it is stock. NO issues to date, but I do have low miles still.

I drive the Cabriolet since 2006 and be very satisfied. A little software tuning and the exhausts from bn pipes. Magnetic ride out and removed by Bilstein. That´s all for having more funl🤑 Best greetings from Germany, Austria and Poland:)

I took a brand new B7 RS4 with 49 miles on the clock out for a test drive in 2007 from my local Audi dealer, after about 10 miles of moderately spirited driving, I ask the sales lady if it was alright to give it some stick, she said ‘yes’… not sure she was ready for it, I new the roads well, could drive (had done some racing)… I had the car absolutely pinned, skipping and sliding, she clung to her seat, kept a smile on her face the hole time. I bought a GT3 instead but still to this day have an itch for a B7 RS4, a great car

I am currently at 1:42 and I can honestly say I'm a little shocked at how uncanny what you are saying is. Like yourself, I'm not a big Audi fan. I love the older Quattro stuff but the only two "modern" Audi's I would own would either be the R8 (4.2 Manual) or a B7 RS4. Both are dream cars for me. As you said also I feel they were out to prove a point and ended up creating a unique, usable and incredible car. Something that seems more than the sum of its parts. Your summary of it being the "golden era" for Audi is also very true.

Your presenting style is also very natural, invested in the subject and honest. Thank you.
