I thought I knew the great songbirds of this era, but she is new to me. What a lovely voice and style! I remember my mother used to hold my hands and sing "Would you like to take a walk?" to me when I was a toddler. Annette Hanshaw's version seems like the definitive one.

There's nothing else like this --Annette Hanshaw with her musicians is a true turn-on. Love it.

Lauren Bacall does a nice rendition of "Am I Blue", but it's all cut up to fit the scene in the movie. I like hearing the unchopped version.

Born in the wrong century, how much happier she could have been making music in a more intimate setting.

( From my limited experience and biased opinion) I think l’ve finally found out the white counterpart of Ella Fitzgerald (no racism intended) before her reign in jazz scenes.❤😂🎉🌈✍️

A man named Rick Beato bewails, to a large audience, the fact that today ˋ s music is rubbish. Here is the alternative.
