May 28, 2017 – Easily one of the most powerful and captivating performances at Boston Calling 2017 belongs to 27-yr-old, Mitski. Under threatening skies, she performed a number of songs from her 2016 release, Puberty 2, as well notable tracks from her earlier works. After her fiery set, Mitski told Front Row Boston, “I am a natural introvert-- it’s not that I become a different person on stage – I think I finally become myself on stage.” We look forward to what comes next for her!

"Drunk Walk Home" Best song I've ever heard and I am 65 years old. We have been blessed by Mitski

when francis forever starts at 4:35 you can hear someone in the audience immediately go "oh my god. oh my god" (it's easier to hear with earbuds, in the right ear)

i know this video is old, but to everyone commenting you dont like her voice or that she sucks, pls remember literally no one fucking cares lmao. its good that u have an opinion but maybe keep it to urself if u have nothing else to say except for "she sucks". mitski puts a lot of thought in her songwriting, its full of symbolisms and storylines, and she also focus more in emotion that vocal technique, but shes very good at controlling her own voice, quickly changing between headvoice and chestvoice. not to mention her songs are about woc's experiences. pls understand that before bashing her lol dont discredit her genius writing just bc ur experiences dont fit within hers. edit: its literally all men commenting shes bad without giving any actual criticism???

The soft “stay safe, have a good day” after she was yelling into the mic killed me, the duality-

I love how she kinda gets into a head space when she starts a song... like you can see in her face her shifting from her general self to the person singing the song, or maybe to herself and how she felt when she first wrote and produced it. Ugh her mind...

im in love with her. Im in love with her talent and ability to truly express what it’s like to be a human. The hurt, yearning, loneliness, anger and selfishness; all of the ugliness that comes with being human. She conveys it all so beautifully and passionately in a way that makes us feel grateful to be human. Mitski makes me feel grateful that we, as humans, have created forms of art like this that allows us to connect to each other. oh i love her so much.
