Thank you for the tour. Hubby and I just cruised recently on the first of the Edge Class ships, the Celebrity Edge. they are beautiful ships. If I can offer a suggestion: speed up the video when walking corridors and malls; slow down and show sweeping/panning views of the various spaces that you breezed past. But I appreciate the tour, nonetheless!

After sailing on Royal Caribbean's Wonder, Symphony, Harmony, Allure, & Freedom, Ascent appears to have a very closed in feel. Maybe it was just the way this tour was filmed🤷‍♂️?

Least favorite premium new build (actually no. 4 in the Edge series). By far prefer the HAL Pinnacle class and Princess ships like Royal Class. Upcoming Sphere class from Princess looks very promising. I actually prefer Celebrity but the Solstice, retired Century, and Horizon class version ships. Millennium class are good but not my favorite. These however, no. Chief reason, lacking in varied lounges with music and dance floors . Stacked vertical areas that make specialty dining in the Grand Plaza noisy at times plus no forward viewing public area for non-suite passengers besides the gym. Ship is pretty. Big deal, a lot of the new builds are as well.

Likes, the 4 MDRs (though do they really need 4), deck areas for the most part, excellent theater, improved Cafe al Bacio, deck areas and bars. Neutral on magic carpet. Art is spectacular and very much in the spirit of Celebrity. Buffet looks extensive, well organized and is very attractive.

Decor is trendy gray/beige/light blues and teals. While some areas have Celebrity's signature remake modernized art-deco inspired treatment much of it is more Miami resort style. I prefer Celebrity style as it is more identifiable as a Celebrity cruise ship. Martini Bar in Solstice vs. the one on the Ascent is a prime example. It needed to be bigger for sure. But now it's just a space in the lobby. Also, nothing is wrong with places like the Hideaway, card room, and several other areas Celebrity decided weren't worthy bringing into the Edge ships. HAL and Princess preserved their popular areas while adding new ones. Why didn't Celebrity? Bummed by these ships. Wish they had more than what seems like 15 specialty dining rooms and special places for suite pax at least the inside public areas. Eden? More acrobatics and maybe the interactive performer idea didn't pan out as planned. Read it can be disorganized and it is hard to see the show when it is on from many angles. As a hang out and watch the ocean venue, it works better and I heard the Cafe is really good when it is open.
