God this is too accurate. One thing everyone always comments on is how much I eat, I was literally manipulated and abused and starved when I was younger because how much I ate was unladylike. Now I'm older and I can't physically stop myself from eating when I'm stressed.
Not to mention the symbolic meaning of this song, starving for a piece of yourself and not even knowing what you're missing. Only knowing that your purpose in life and your happiness are unfulfilled. Knowing you're meant for something greater than what's currently happening and feeling like you're slowly dying and rotting every single day you exist without truly living.
Song just kills ya twice don't it?

I think this song is about someone wanting love, so when they say they are hungry, they have a hunger for love and don’t think they have that much affection. When they say they are something, they know and are conscious but don’t know what they could be, when they say “I am waiting” they are probably waiting for affection, I don’t really know much about this song since I don’t hear the lyrics

Love this part, because only when you see yourself in a negative sense, is when you can view the world being a happier place. A happier place without *you.* The second part means to me that only when you see the world in a negative sense, in seeing yourself in a hopeless sense, is only when you can see good in yourself.

I can relate to the whole song…(I’ve been starved, abused, abandoned, and other stuff by my dad, my mother was dead when I was 3 years old, I have drugs in my system when I was a child so I was very weak a fragile, I couldn’t get out of bed because if the drugs, my dad just abandoned me and I couldn’t eat anything, thankfully my nana would come home very late and feed me something, my sister didn’t care, I’m now okay but I’m living in a abusive manipulative situation with my auntie, but I’m okay :) ❤)
