Thanks for this review! This is the dishwasher that was installed in my new build home and needed to know more about LG models. I have either had GE or Kenmore appliances in various apartments.

I killed off all of my LG appliances well before I had had any of them four years.
This time I bought the Bosch dishwasher. I love it.

I just pulled the trigger and got it. It was between the LG, Bosch, and Kitchen aid. I have just been hearing too many bad things on Kitchen aid and stuff with it breaking after a year or so. All the same stuff, like leaking, pump issues, etc. I looked at the bosch and i can't justify spending that much money on it when the tines and racks on it are just really bad and it didn't feel great pulling it racks in and out on it. Plus, the 800 series didn't have an adjustable rack on it at all which kind of sucked for that price point. At least not that i could tell. So i went with the LG. I did get the 5 year warranty on it so we will see. I have an LG fridge, washer and dryer, and now a dishwasher and never had issues with the others ones. So hopefully my luck will continue. You should have a warranty on the parts and could get those racks replaced.

Great review! Also, if you don’t mind, what model Ninja air fryer is that? I like how yours doesn’t have the knobs, but I can’t find yours on the Ninja site.

your water line connection at the shut off valve is it 3/8 or 1/2 inch?

The loud thumping sound on my machine turned out to be the diverter valve disk. It was warped and would oscillate with the change in water pressure. Like yours, but at a slower rate. Try bending it to flatten it out or replacing the disk (three LG service reps. couldn't find the problem).

On a more general note. I've owned one for three years (LDP6810SS) and it has been the biggest piece of junk I've ever owned! I'm 76 yrs old and have owned a lot of equipment in my life, and this is the absolute worse. Yes, my upper rack is starting to rust. Expect the door seal to go soon. Look for steam escaping at the top of the door and the display panel starting to turn black. The main drive motor also caught fire twice (as in flames) . Now the turbidity sensor has leaked trashing the main control board. Sure, it looks nice and is quite, but so what if it's always pulled out being worked on.

Wouldn’t the broken plastic and the rusty tray be under warranty?

Thank you for the video. The noise that you were talking about, I also experienced the exact same thing. And that too, the noise started coming after a year of purchase.

I am not able to figure out the reason behind that noise. The sound is not affecting the wash performance but it is irritating.

Please let me know the reason for the noise if you know.

Thanks!

Holy cow! Nearly 4h for a cycle? 😮
I'll have to look in the service manual and see how the cycle charts break down.

I had an old lg early 2000s model that served for more than 10 years, I just had to replace the racks twice for rusting due to chipping of the protective enamle. That dishwasher had an actual full display where you can see the real-time info of what it's doing. I can see which part of the cycle the dishwasher is currently in i.e. washing, rinsing, drying and also real-time temprature! All this came with a BIG selection knob that I just rotate easily and select the cycle and just push the knob. Shame that the motor started to make end of life grinding noise but it was still getting the job done until I got IE error that won't go away. I replaced it with newer lg Quadwash, and the new one doesn't show you anything other than the remaining time! and don't get me started about drying performance! I believe companies downgrade their products on purpose!

I bought LG dishwasher to match my other LG's . I got the one with buttons in the front, to avoid accidentally pressing some button.

Hi! Thanks for the vid, i was hoping you would talk about the automatic open door function…can you please tell me, when you do the cycle ECO (without the extra dry option), at what time does the door opens? Mine 1h10m before the “END”, and i think its a lot, LG is telling me is normal but i am hmm not sure. can you help based on your use of this same model? Thanks

Our LG made the helicopter noise after 4 months. After 7 months of LG and BestBuy techs coming out, BestBuy finally lemoned it. This was my 3rd LG dishwasher lemoned in 6 years. They are replacing it in a few days.

The kicker? Each time they replaced the LG, we had the option to choose literally any dishwasher. Our 4th LG will be here on Saturday because my wife doesn’t want anything else despite having 13+ service calls over 6 years. LG is the only brand where all the tines in the top and bottom rack can be folded down and that’s apparently more important than reliability 😂😅

Also, those tines in the 3rd rack break from putting something too tall in between and it catches the top of the tub. They break so easily that you don’t notice until you unload after the cycle and are left scratching your head wondering what happened. I have 7 that have broken off over the past year.

We have the front control LG dishwasher and it is an absolute pain. Every time someone walks past it, the dishwasher turns on and if it's running while someone brushes past it, the dishwasher stops altogether. Next time around, I'll get a top control like this.

I have LG too but my has same control on front of the door. and so many times we turn washer with our body. I wish that they would have a 5 second holding or so to turn on or off.

The time thing seems to be an LG thing we have LG washer and dryer the normal cycle is 1 hour add any other option to that no matter what it is it jumps to 2+ hours and heavy duty is 3:15
