When my husband and I took a road trip to DC, i could see the healing finally peel off his shoulders as he touched the names in his unit that didn't make it home alive. He carried a book written by an author that visited our youngest daughter in high school. She bought him the book for Father's Day and the author signed it. It had a lot of soldiers in it that he actually knew. I can't remember the name of it. Something about a wall and the author's name was Brown. I'm so happy we made that trip together. I took pictures of everything! If he had taken the Honor Flight out of Lexington Kentucky, i wouldn't have been able to walk all of that in 1 day. So we spent my $500 ticket money on a week long road trip and had fun. ❤

I know I love this country and the soldiers when seeing and hearing things like this makes me cry and my stomach turns over while my heart feels like it will literally burst. That's pride, that's true love. The tear rolling down my cheek is for every man or woman that ever took the Oath of Enlistment. ❤️🙏
