They look like prints!😵😱 This is so beautiful! None of my art teachers in school ever taught this technique...huhuhu.

Those leaves are fantastic! I actually fell out of watercolor painting because of the lack of depth and detail in my paintings. This helped so much, I'm going to implement this in my painting excursions!

Speaking as a professional illustrator for the last 30+ years, I just wanted to say how much I enjoy the helpful, clear and concise videos you put out & have gladly subbed... I don't pretend to know everything there is, especially on certain subjects I haven't practiced in decades (watercolours!) but I do know you're never too old or experienced to learn new approaches or techniques. This channel must be a goldmine for those just starting out.
So - thank you makoccino.

1 tip I can give, if you are tired to wet your entire paper, use the spray bottle. Fill the water in it and spray on your paper then spread a little with brush. I like this idea and really inspire me. I hope there are more art hacks from you, #makoficationsquad

I had tried the leaf painting when I didn't know that it was done using negative technique. It didn't turn out that good. I will try it this time with this technique. Thanks!

now I've realized that our lessons in the art sub do really makes sense. I thought it's just by distinguishing what is the negative side or art and what is positive. Now it can be also applied in painting and such. OMG iluvit

I appreciate that you keep reminding us that at first it might not look good but keep going. My first two paintings I almost tossed out cause I was upset that it looked weird but when I finished them you could see what I wanted.

So happy I found this. Negative painting has always been hard for me, I don’t think “backwards” very well! So thanks again😉❤️👍🎨

When I've done negative painting in the past I always draw everything first (for example, all the leaves) and then try to paint from there and normally get really confused about which areas to paint or not. This way is waaaay better! You only need to think about one layer at a time 😁 I'm going to try again!

Negative painting is not at all a negative thing. It looks like a real photo. It is very interesting. Thank you very much
