I appreciate the time boundary you put on this analysis - it's far enough out for some current threads to mature, but not so far in the future that all bets are off.

Humans do like to add their input into things, so even if the AI could do a good job, the humans will add their touch to the AI's output. This will make the output feel more human and therefore people will be able to relate to it better. Never thought if this until now. I also think more people will get to know something about the human artist behind the mostly AI-made works. Good video!

Human choice and direction seems like it will be a winning factor for years to come. We're just so good at knowing if we like something or not, almost instantly. And the experts can make these kind of quick judgements the rest of us thank them for--because it saves us so much time wading through low quality stuff. I see the need for more creatives to become expert connoisseurs with well honed, refined judgement.

I think your take is as good as any. I think we'll be a part of creativity for the next 10 years.

Seems pretty obvious humans will still have some part in creativity in 2 years. Even when ASI that can create better works than all of humanity comes in a few more years, if humans are still human then they will create creativly. People are creative today for no gain other than the pleasure of creating, in post-scarcity we will do it more because we can.

I like your positive view on AI... I've heard people say, "With AI now everyone can be a creative director..." Sadly i feel there is only so much space for creative directors... As per a film... You have plenty of actors but very few directors... When the years of university and forming my craft in various arts can be replicated in a few minutes then i know if i dont assimilate I will be obsolete... Im hoping this doesn't happen... I remember seeing a designer at Adobe Max years ago say, "AI will remove all the button pushers and the designers with the most unique style will survive..." I like that concept better... haha

-right now: Codex can't make a hexagon.
-tomorrow:human+AI
-future: Human:"AI, take this target of population and make the perfect movie for them. the movie must also be a big, hidden commercial to my product"
