Body Dysmorphia is something that both of us here at Keto Lifestyle struggle with. In general, we both tend to focus on the aspects of our weight loss that are not perfect. We tend to ignore the progress that we have made. This is very common among individuals who have lost a lot of weight. If you are struggling with it, just know that you are not alone and you just have to find ways to cope with it.

I've gone from 265 to 195, and I still feel fat. Even though my friends and family say I'm "skinny", I don't feel that way. I'm very careful about the amount of calories I eat during the week. Sundays I do have a cheat meal, not day, but still try to keep my calories low enough to where I won't gain weight, just maintain for the day.

I used to be 230lb as a 12 year old. I’ve lost a lot of weight growing up. I’m at 170 now at 33. There’s times where I love how I look but if any little thing changes in appearance I hate it and hate going out and being seen. I feel like all my clothes look terrible on me. I wish the way I saw myself was a little more normal.

Totally understand... I lost 70 in 9 months on keto... I am having a hard time buying new clothes because I still want to buy clothes that are loose fitting because I'm used to hiding body. Congrats on your success!

Omg you are talking to me, I feel these feelings every day I always feel like I'm still over weight and I hate feeling that way.
I have lost almost 30lbs and that was 4 years ago I kept putting on up to 10lbs back off and on for the last 2 years then 6 months ago I started keto to try and keep my weight between 160 and 165 and it has been working and my body has changed so much but I still look in the mirror and feel like I'm still the fat girl with the nice face like people always said to me.
I have an unhealthy relationship with the scales but If I don't use them some times I can get on and see I've gained 2 or 3 lbs and feel like a loser.
Recently I have also started taking photos becausevtjis helps me see fat reduction and muscle growth even if the scales show weight gain.
Thanks for this video I am now a subscriber.

This is me.
I’ve lost 3 stone but feel more unhappy now than I did when I was bigger.
To me my thighs are still massive, they are 20 inches. I have loose skin that disgusts me and I hate my face.
I feel so ugly, I hide away in baggy clothes.
I haven’t been diagnosed with BDD so not sure if I have that but I do know that I’m deeply unhappy and feel so alone.

Appreciate your honest comments. I feel it too and it constantly sucks me back in mentally. It's weird as hell. We'll see how long recovery takes. How are you guys doing now?

I know I’m late to your channel, but I’d like to thank you for all of your videos and topics. It’s so good to hear various people’s perspectives on this lifestyle.

I love how Olivia has a lot to say about it too. Thank you both so much for this channel.

I can relate to this 💯 it’s the downside to losing a dramatic amount of weight. I lost about 60lbs, it was great at first then the fear of gaining it all back crept into my mind and warped my vision. I catch myself still fearing walking past a mirror or window cause I’m expecting to see how I used to look and when I don’t I’m like ?! It’s a mind trip.

Even when bulking you only need to weigh once a week. Your weight will constantly fluctuat because of water or food.

Oh thank God it isn't just me, I lost 50lbs in over 8 months through diet and exercise almost every night and I still struggle, with the weight loss, my clothes that used to fit don't, my gym clothes are still my old clothes, if I eat a fat meal for a day, I feel like a whale again, I know it is in my head, but when I've spent most of my life being fatter in my 200 lbs and being now in the 150 lbs, it just throws me off every time. People say I'm proud of you but inside I still feel like that fatty patty I once was and some days are worse than others.

i'm obese and i've been losing inches and not weight. it's hard to explain but i feel like my body is still figuring out how to recomp bc we all know we can't spot reduce thru exercise. idk how my body will recomp eventually, i don't have an ideal body goal except i would like to size down to wearing M sizes, at least L size. and that's been happening lately but my body is still figuring out where to recomp. so i gotta cooperate with my body.

I was at 250 and dropped down to 170 over the last 2 years, I feel different but how I viewed myself has never changed. "Fat, useless, and lazy" Even when I force myself to run everyday and do work.

I used to be 300 in high school now 195 avg 6ft tall.. but I sometimes find myself in conversations saying I'm "big" not fat but just big and I've had different reactions from a lot of people ranging from..."what your not fat!?!" To "dude you're not ripped" but honestly i know I'm not a ball anymore but it's just I lived 19+ years of being huge and just instinctually think big

I realistically know I'm 167, but I still feel like I'm 297, and I take up to much space, like the fat butt I feel like I am. I'm constantly buy clothes too big for me.
