best video i've seen on method to open the battery tray and replace the battery! i have 3 of these keyboards and 2 of them i replaced the battery the way shown in other videos, which is to slot in a screwdriver to push the tray. so that damaged the plastic around. i finally saw this video and it absolutely works, without damaging the plastic! thank you!

Thanks for the video, links and jazzy editing. However, people should know that there are 2 plastic springs on either side of the battery tray. Once the battery tray gets pulled out about an 1/8", just past the finger pull, i used a metal compass (for drafting) to squeeze the 2 springs in to pull the rest of the tray out. U can yank it out, but it might break the springs which is another hastle for later. (My needle nose pliers weren't thin enough to put in the squeeze zone, and tweezers didn't extend wide enough (about 1"). Note: the springs are attached to the tray, not the body, and are visible in the video at 0:38.

Thanks, This worked for me. The only thing I would add is that it was easier for me to use a screw driver within the groove to help pull the battery out once the butter knife had created a little gap.

You make it look sooo easy. Even with this method extreme force was required using a butter knife. A little bit of plastic on the ring not visible in this video broke off in the process

Before changing battery, check the yellow sticker on battery is not interfering with edge contact. This was the problem with my newly acquired "dead" K750 which I got for cheap.

I guess the reason for the "DO NOT REPLACE" sticker is to avoid having someone replace it with a random NON-rechargeable button battery, which could explode if used in this keyboard, since non-rechargeable batteries can't be used in devices which do try to recharge them. So the best bet to avoid problems is replacing it with the exact same battery model the keyboard comes with.

Interestingly, after buying and pre-charging a new ML2032 battery, then simply replacing the existing old (btw, at least 5 years) one with the new, the keyboard still wouldn't turn on. Apparently, that "do not replace" sticker on the + side is there for a reason (I'm not an electronics person, so I can't speculate why) because when I removed it and stuck it on the new one, it turned on and connected pretty as you please.

i am able to get the tray out by the groove but i dont understand the part where you exert the downforce. Wouldn't this break the plastic battery holder?

I was able to get the cover pried loose but was still not able to pull out the battery clip. It must be an earlier model because the little wings on the side of the clip. are wider and won't budge loose from the port.

Best part: Logitech's yellow sticker that says "DO NOT REPLACE BATTERY". Such crap.
Tip: Since the rechargeable "ML2032" batteries are hard to find/probably need to order them, you can actually use a "CR2032" on Logitech K750 keyboards just fine while you wait for the ML2032 to arrive.

Ahhh, thx, so for everybody, when the battery is bad, it can't connect to a new unify receiver... just unplug the battery, wait for about 30 seconds, insert the battery, power on, voilà it can connect...
