I always insist on walking to and from work in a hilly city with my giant heavy backpack everyday and never really considered it as exercise this is great

I was surprised by the what the guy said in the beginning because as a woman in the military I feel like I’ve always heard different. Regardless, I love rucking and think it’s a rewarding “sport”. I’d recommend watching a video on how to pack your bag because weight distribution is really important for preventing discomfort. Also we wear bags designed for rucking that distribute the weight more evenly so you may want to invest in something other than a regular backpack. That will definitely help with the shoulder pain!! 👍🏼

I have a toddler that I hike with - seriously the BEST exercise having a 28lb kiddo (plus backpack weight) on your back!

I think I did the same hike that your friend did in Kauai! Definitely agree that my shoulders hurt more than my back, along with my hips. My pack also ended up giving me a pinched nerve, and my hands tingled/burned for days after 😅 But…the hike was so worth it! Definitely recommend putting it on your bucket list if you want to get more into backpacking

i wonder why women are good at rucking....ummm maybe because we carry children lol and most moms have some type of backpack anytime they leave the house lol.

Stuff a pillow at the bottom of your pack to keep that heavier weight higher up. The pack will feel lighter, and it will be healthier for your back.

Not sure if they have this in your area, but would LOVE to see you try an aerial fabrics class (if they would be comfortable with you filming there) - recently went to one in LA and BOY is it a workout!! always love your videos & glad to see you rucking around Salt Lake :)

I'll bet a weighted blanket (I swear one I have weighs 20 pounds) would be great in the bottom of a ruck sack. Then plate on top...
