I do not understand why parents lie to their children about Santa. When my mother finely told me the truth, I asked her "How can I ever believe what you tell me ever again?" I was 6yrs at the time and from that point always doubted what she said was true.

If you what your children to be honest and tell the truth, it needs to start with the parents!

My mom never told me that Santa was real because she didn’t want to lie to her children. So every year around Christmas time when I was ten years old and younger if Santa was ever brought up in conversation I would go around tell people and children that he wasn’t real and that their parents lied to them. A lot of kids cried and many dreams were crushed.
