During this March 5, 2025 House Oversight Committee hearing with Sanctuary City Mayors, Representative Anna Paulina Luna (R-Florida) exposes sanctuary city mayors for allegedly harboring illegal migrants in violation of federal law. Citing Title 8, U.S. Code § 1324, Luna announces her plan to refer the mayors of Boston, Chicago, and Denver to the Department of Justice for prosecution.

Once you get voted in as a mayor, you are officially above the law. Congress is proving it right now. All those mayors are shown to be breaking federal law and they will go back to their cities and nothing will happen. Regular citizens could do the same thing and wouldn't walk out of that hearing headed to their homes.

I think President Trump should hold federal funding on all cities and states that are claiming to be sanctuary cities just as he’s doing with men playing in women’s sports and if you don’t require a voter ID when voting you don’t get federal funding I bet you a lot of things change if you pull federal funding from a state that doesn’t want to play by federal law
