Pavlovich is a wrestler, people forget that. combined with his power, and ability to stuff, I think Aspinall's got a problem inmho. and no way should Jones tie up the belt because he is hurt. total injustice.

If Jon is going to be sitting out for at least a year, the UFC has the option to either strip him or create an interim title. They are kind of forced to keep the division running. But what doesn't make sense is that Stipe isn't involved which calls into question if/when the title will be unified.

Worthy of a Vacant Title! Jones has one fight in the division and he did not dethrone a champion to win the belt. He's gonna be out 8 more months too so the division should move on and he can fight for the title when he's ready.

Aspinall vs Pavlovich is a great matchup and title fight. For a long time, we've been talking about how they are major prospects at HW. Now they get a chance to prove their abilities. I personally was never that excited about Jones vs Miocic, I think both are on their way out. Jones has talked about retiring several times

I love jon jones but dana needs to take the actual belt and give it to whoever wins this. Make a baddest old man belt or baddest legend still in the game belt for jones and stipe since they aint gonna fight for another 9 months to a year

It will change to undisputed, when the UFC realise having a young champ wait nearly 2 years for potentially 2 GOATS to retire isn't a good thing, while they could defend the belt 1 or 2 times building up their name ect and then maybe Jones if he wins stays and tries to be a 2 time HW champ..

I like Tom but I would expect Sergei to be the favourite for sure! Tom had a loss few fights ago granted freak accident but Sergei on a tear!

Either one of them would have a decent chance against Jon, Stipe or Francis. They’re definitely worthy.

More then a #1 contender match this should be for the undisputed belt. Considering this exact same thing just happened to two different guys at LHW. Tom or Pavlo deserve the belt!

The UFC screwed Stipe once again when they didn't want to insult him with an interim title. So now we have an interim title which the winner will have to fight JJ to clear up who the real title holder will be moving forward. We wont see a JJ vs Stipe fight for 2 years or more. Whether the interim title fight is just that or a #1 contender match doesn't change that Stipe will be on the shelf another 2 years. This is a mess really.
