Saleemul Huq, director of the International Centre for Climate Change and Development (ICCCAD) in Bangladesh, reports on the ongoing story of ICCCAD.

ICCCAD is one of the leading research and capacity building organisations working on climate change and development in Bangladesh. ICCCAD’s aim is to develop a world-class institution that is closely related to local experience, knowledge and research in one of the countries that is most affected by climate change.

ICCCAD is a three-way partnership between the Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB), Bangladesh Centre for Advanced Studies (BCAS) based in Dhaka, and the International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED) in London, UK.

Here, IIED senior fellow Huq provides an update to his colleagues, and identifies the next steps for the institute.
