In this video, we take a look at how to lower the pH level in a swimming pool. An acceptable pH range is between 7.2 - 7.8. We prefer to use Acid Magic which is a safer solution that prevents burns to the skin.

Just know that the Acid Magic is basically half strength muriatic acid. You have to use twice as much to get the same result. You really want the 31% full strength one if you want to save money because the half strength one costs almost as much as the full strength.

Does PH reducer work just as well as the acid? The pool store sold me a ph reducer thats like a powder. It doesn't seem to be working im still over 8.2 i have no chlorine in my pool and was told i cant put anything in ubtil my ph is lower. My pool is black currently, please help.

Just got a brand new pool installed! Salt water pool... added the salt to the pool and ran the pump for 2 days, ph and alkalinity are through the roof! What do you recommend?
