The '47 Dodge pickup takes us to Cars & Caffeine at Combermere in today's Old Classic Car upload, complete with a cargo of other wheeled oldies. My youthful assistant exercises his latest vintage bicycle purchase, while the Dodge and our recently-purchased Austin pedal car look on.
The Combermere meeting in Cheshire is held in the car park outside the Old Piggery Cafe, run by the same people who operate the Old Piggery Cafe at the Grocott Heritage Centre that I featured not long ago. For future dates, please keep an eye on the meet's Facebook page.
As always, a varied mix of car types and ages made the trip over to Combermere, and it wasn't long before plenty of cars were parked up, their owners chatting amongst themselves while supping on a coffee or devouring a bacon sandwich.
As always, I try and feature a bit of everything at every car meeting I go along to, while prioritising the older cars as befits a channel of this name :-)
Highlights this time include a great old Vauxhall Victor FB (plus a Chevette HS and a "droop snoot" Sportshatch), a Chrysler 300D, 1930 Rolls-Royce, Rover estate, TVR 3000M, 911s various, and a competiton-prepared modern Mini. Dad also made it there in his MGB GT.
Thanks for checking out this Combermere video, other Cheshire car meetings also feature here on the Old Classic Car channel so please have a look around before you disappear.
If you know of anyone else who might find these Old Classic Car videos of interest, please forward one of the above links to them.

The Rolls Royce was absolutely fantastic - one of the most beautiful cars I've seen in a long time. To be fair though, the American "chrome carrier" was pretty amazing too, not just it's appearance but innovative features such as electric windows, gear selector and so forth. A great meeting to end the season. My sincere thanks to you and Harley for bringing us so much enjoyment through the year.

If my memory serves, I think the only thing the rear end of the TVR used was the Triumph TR5/6 differential. The actual suspension control arms, etc, is all TVR. The front end is more Triumph with the steering rack, vertical link, and brakes. I can't swear to the wishbones, but I wouldn't be surprised if they weren't Triumph too.
