I think this is one of your most important and best talks yet. I go to my local Chapel of Adoration and usually say the typical prayers, which in itself is not a bad thing. But when do I just sit in God's presence. We are so conditioned that every moment has to be filled with our doing something, that includes our prayer lives. Sometimes, other than being there, we don't have to do it say a thing. There is grace in silence. Thank you Fr. Chris.

Hi father chris. I cant believe you did a talk about Knock ! I had been going to email Peter to ask you if you could do one but the Holy Spirit beat me to it ! Your talk was so good especially when you said to just look at an image to pray. I have a divine mercy image [ 8x10 dollar print you blessed for me ] on my bedroom wall. Its the first thing i see when i wake up and sometimes in stead of praying the chaplet i just look at it. Sometimes i feel like Jesus and myself are just looking into each others eyes and He just melts my heart.

Pray, meditate and contemplate.

That’s why the oratory is my favorite location on the National Shrine campus for private prayer. I love MASS in the main shrine, but when I want to pray privately I like to go to the chapel.

Thanks for teaching us the lesson of saying “talk to me Jesus” at adoration.
Way back in elementary school the nuns encouraged us to go into church with a friend and “make a visit “. Somehow that activity was lost by circumstances and the years. I’m so happy that many years later with your teaching Father Chris, I’m doing it again.

When I attended in person Mass today, it was not at my parish and I was getting distracted at the offertory so I had to remind myself that priest is there “ in persona Christi”. Thank you for teaching us of Mother, Mary’s huge connection to the Holy Eucharist and the Mass.

That reminder snapped me back to where I needed to be for the reception of the Holy Eucharist. I offered my Holy Communion today for Reparations to the Sacred Heart and Immaculate Heart of Mary. These are just a few of the many wonderful lessons, I have learned.

You really got us fired up last night. Today our little group of DM prayer warriors was discussing ways we can plunge “into the game”!by fasting and sacrificing. Two of us are attempting to abstain from meat few days a week. If you know me, red meat is my guilty pleasure.

Finally, Thank you for the beautiful recitation of the Luminous Mysteries of the Rosary and subsequent meditation. For me, they are a story of conversion, especially the third luminous mystery.
I am hoping you have some leisure time over this weekend. I am Always remembering you and your mom and dad, your Sister and Sandy in my prayers.
