Hades - Recording 'In the Blood' & 'On the Coast'

Composer Darren Korb traveled all the way to world-famous Studio Two at Abbey Road Studios in London to record two very special pieces of music for the Hades Original Soundtrack. He is joined by vocalist Ashley Barrett, conductor/arranger Austin Wintory, and a talented team of musicians in this behind-the-scenes look at the production.

Seriously, Korb is an inspiration and I'm so excited to see his work in another Supergiant masterpiece.

zag’s journey and reunion with [redacted] and their later choice to head to the underworld made me miss my mom; i lost her rather suddenly to cancer in 2016, so zag’s reunion moved me to tears, but the boat ride and the song REALLY had me near bawling. im OBSESSED with this song and with “good riddance, ” i was not prepared for how those songs would help me process my continuing grief in a brighter, more hopeful way.

The music of your games is always so emotionally charged and unique. I am LOVING the Hades soundtrack and I am so glad there is a way to experience it even more fully in-game outside of going to specific areas with the jukebox like element. The music in Hades is phenominal. One of the best soundtracks I've heard in YEARS. It brings tears, especially seeing this video after beating the story.

I gotta say, it's been a long time since I've fallen in love with a game. Like hardcore in love. Hades just takes the cake... it's such a awesome game. The music is freaking amazing, the gameplay is fast pace and keeps you on edge, the characters and voices acting.... where do I even begin. It's all so damn fantastic.
