Went to see Van Halen a couple of times in the early 80's. I agree Bob Eddie always kept a grin on his face. I was amazed the amount of strength n endurance he had in his forearms and fingers when playing his guitar. My first concert was in 1976 at the Civic Coliseum in Knoxville. It was Manfred Mann’s Earth band, Black Oak Arkansas and Montrose. . . If I remember correctly my ticket was $6.50. Great times!
Thank you Bob for taking me down memory lane.

Eddie is definitely on my top 5 greatest guitarists list. He was always smiling because he just loved playing guitar and entertaining his fans. Thanks Bob, I really like this channel.

The first time I heard Jump was when some high school classmates mimed it for a talent show. I've gotten Alexa to play it on occasion. We've heard about the "no brown M&Ms" clause in their contract. It was their way to make sure the contracts got read. Valerie wrote about some of the band's creative differences in her autobiography. Eddie may have been a rock and roller. But he named their son after Mozart. Did anyone else think Alex looked like a girl in the childhood photo? That used to be more common in older days. Don't forget the solo Eddie played in Back to the Future. He had to use his first name for copyright reasons. Such music would have definitely been a shock back in 1955.

It's not how long you live, but what you do with the time you're given. Judging from Eddie's smile, he was making the best use of his time 😎
