Cheap UV filters.. Not a myth. I bought a Canon RF 100-500 and put a Tiffen Digital Clear UV filter on it -- The lens would not focus properly. Thought it was bad until I took the filter off which solved the problem.. Bought a good filter and put it on -- Worked fine. Good filters are expensive.

Love the two Viltrox Pro Lenses. Got the 27 and 75 and they’re the sharpest for APS-C wide open.

Another thing you forgot to note is the crazy minimum focus distance of the Sigma 18-50 which is 12 cm. Keep in mind thst Fuji’s own 30mm macro lens has a 10 cm minimum focus distance but that’s at 30mm, not 50mm

I liked that 7Artisans 18mm pancake until it stopped working properly. Then I picked up the AstrHori 14mm f/4.5 pancake (currently $71 at B&H) and find it both better made and better optically. A great walk-around lens.

The ttartisans 75mm f2, yongnuo 85 f1.8 are incredible travel and street lenses. Small, light, cheaper, sharp. Pair it with a compact 35mm for run and gun magic. This can also be handled by the tamron 28-75. Awesome spread. Thanks for spending the time to put this together!

whenever I put a UV filter on my lens it ruined my photos and videos with some weird glare that came off certain types of light sources like neon lights, it would be like a projection of the light source almost that would be really annoying swinging around all over the frame as the camera or light moved... i kept forgetting to take it off when taking important shots that had light sources in it and i ruined my photos and videos enough times that i've done away with the UV filter and will never put it back on again... for a lens that depends on a rear UV filter as part of its optical formula, then I will use a UV filter, definitely not using a front UV filter

I would love to see your top recommendations for L Mount Lenses. For a Photography/videography perspective, since the L mount alliance covers Sigma, Blackmagic, Dji, Panasonic, Leica, Samyang, & Astro. Not sure who all the brands are or if they all have camera's, but there are a few well known ones in the batch.

Just ordered the TTartisans 75 F2 for my Nikon ZF. I’m curious about the 100mm bubble lens but probably don’t need it since I have my Nikkor 105mm 2.5 AIS? Hmm I’m also waiting for Viltrox to release the rest of their LAB lenses, I feel like they always take forever to release z mount though .

Thanks for putting this together. I just bought an A7CII mainly because of the wide variety of lenses available for the Sony E mount. I enjoyed watching the video and seeing the assortment of focal length and manufacturers that are making Sony compatible lenses.
