Plovdiv – is an Art and Cultural city, and the second largest city in #Bulgaria with population of 350 000 people. This is the first Bulgarian city chosen to host the European Capital of Culture in 2019.
With its cultural and historical heritage dating back 8000 years, Plovdiv is one of the oldest or it may be even the oldest inhabited city in Europe. It also ranks mong the six oldest cities in the World.
In this video I am going to take you to the most epic historical sites of Plovdiv and I am going to tell you a little bit of history about Plovdiv and the main attractions featured in this video: Bunardzhik Tepe and the Monument of Aliosha, The Bishop’s Basilica, The Small Basilica, The Old Town Of Plovdiv (including Nebet Tepe, the Craft’s Street, the Regional Ethnographic Museum, The Roman Theatre, St, Constantine and Elena Church, The Fortress Gate Hisar Kapia, The Academy of Music, Dance and Fine Arts, and The Pharmacy Museum), the Old Stadium, Dzhumaya Mosque, the city centre of Plovdiv (including modern landmarks like the "Together" sign and the monument of Milyo), The main pedestrian street, the Music Fountains at the City Garden Of Plovdiv, and finally the food quarter Kapana.
