Props on the Whitechapel shirt. Fun bunch of guys. Way way back the metal band I was in played a small Midwest tour with them before they really took off and now that I'm thinking about it battlecross met up with us while out on the road and did a string of shows way back before they blew up with that Metallica world tour and we finished off the last 4 shows with DAATH being the 3rd band before half of them took off and joined Chimera. Dang that was and epic summer. Untill right now I hadn't really reflected back on just how successful all those bands became back to back shortly after that. Well those 3 bands did. My own band not so much. Lmfao. We had a lot of inner conflict. I was a raging alcoholic and somehow blindly paying for all the PA equipment and the club wagon van and trailer that got us to all the shows as well as the insurance and covering the gas card payment and paying the rent on the practice space, our drummer got married and bought a house and found Jesus and vanished, the bass player thought he was a real gangster and a huge drug dealer claiming he sold so many 20 sacks of the best weed in town when truth be told I've had better bags of shake slingshotted across the boarder by a trebuchet. But anyway the bassplayer ended up in jail because he flashed his Glock in his wasteband on his plug and dude checked him right there, dude knew it was a spray painted bb gun and his plug mopped the floor with him. His guy was the real deal the kind of guy the bassplayer was pretending to be. Left him on the side of the road near dead in his truck. The bassplayer had all sorts of stolen credit cards and some pistols with the serial numbers filed off and weed in his truck. Not sure if it all was actually his or that was his punishment for being a poser. But that just leaves the fate of the singer. He was a train wreck but came out the best. He was married before joining the band and after everything went to crap his wife left him and then underwent hormone therapy and finally gender reassignment surgery... Jennifer is now Carlton and the singer is the only one I'm still friends with today. We have even started a couple other bands. I finally stopped when I had kids and settled down but he is still active. God I hang around some degenerates... But love them just the same, screw normal people.
