Yeah, advanced generators are pretty cool. I found a few tutorials, weird you had a hard time :P Also very sorry for your loss. I know those feels and it sucks :(

These generators are over fucking powered if you get the right mods, the mod itself has an internal fuel source called syngas, produced from water and any source of Carbon, now then, using Thermal Expansions Aqueous accumulator can get you an infinite source of water quick and easy, and then you can use a tree farm from a variety of sources, I personally like to combine Torcherinos (torches that speed up tick rates to an ABSURD degree) and Bonsai trees to power my underground fortress of doom. Im producing more Fuel than I could ever hope to use up, excess is stored in a quantum tank, and just like that, I have all the power I need to kickstart my Draconic crafting
