My practice investigates the use of craft as a tool for social interaction. It looks into the relationships between maker and tool within the urban environment, and investigates the origins of craft within communities. Through my research, I hope to offer an alternative way of thinking and making; a simple, inexpensive and invaluable skill that can be utilised by all.

I handmade 7 backstrap looms and have been running free, drop-in workshops in parks, festivals, cafes and galleries over the summer in London, where members of the public can add their mark on the loom’s growing fabric.

This is a film I made alongside Videographer Craig Matthews in a workshop at the Peckham Pelican in July 2019.
