Rocket sirens force James Cleverly to run for cover during visit to southern Israel

The foreign secretary was forced to run for cover from rocket fire during a trip to southern Israel.

James Cleverly can be seen running inside towards a bomb shelter whilst visiting the area to show solidarity with Israel after Hamas launched a terror attack from Gaza.

James Cleverly's visit will shortly be followed by that of his US counterpart Anthony Blinken, who is due to visit Israel and Jordan on Thursday 12 October.

Israel not only propped up Hamas against the secular front led by Arafat, they have also kept people of Gaza in an internationally-recognised blockade for 17 years. Now James Cleverly is getting a feel of what it has been like to be a Palestinian citizen.
