The quality of your vids is just amazing. You explained this amazing art movement better then anyone has before in just 6 minutes. These videos should be shown in schools. How much you could teach, enrich and capture these young minds. Broaden their horizon.

There is no such thing as horizontal and vertical lines mesh. Monet's brushwork follows the volumes to describe them, it's a basic rule. This is very classical and academic and the best way even today to decribe an object, and it can be seen in all his works. Following volumes conveys the shaoe of the object, depth, perspective, movement, vibration, liveliness. Then it comes his exceptionally one of a kind in the Universe brushwork. Of course, he has somewhat weak paintings in terms of brushwork at the beginning of his career while training and creating this style, which you may see in Wildenstein catalogue raisonne. He had to acquire this mastery with practice, developed the idea of it, trained his muscles memory. Only very, very, very trained painter, can repeat that level brushwork, provided they want to become forgerers. Generally, one may resume that it's the opposite to what everybodys says - it is not the light that is new, what is pscific that objects are described by warm and cold colors, and not light and dark. But I'm not sure if a not painter can understand this. So the light mantra will go on forever. Don't push my button on Van Gogh...
