Oh!!! My sweet Liberty
in this letter
are the words of your soul
the spirit of enlightenment
yearning for absolute peace
through words that silently cry out
for all that fears you
for all you see with sorrow and dissappoint you
you Liberty, who face
the land of rain and fog
its as if you see all around you
with the eyes of your soul
a melacholy world
desperate , vague, as if without destiny
like the marble sculptures of the Parthenon
which for decades are found
where you see them and touch them with tears
far from its birthplace
without light, pale, almost dead
like dead nature
which awaits the vegetation of spring
and I, who live here in the land of the Gods
and now I face the sun, yes! the sun
that illuminates all we can not see
and perhaps no mortal to this day on earth
does not know the source of enlightenment
when I see the Parthenon
without sculptures without color without its roof
but even these remains
remind us that it once was the Temple of Temples
and then came disaster, destruction, looting
dimlight
Now just a pause
for whatever has survived
and who knows what the future holds
what may enlighten, tell me Liberty
what can change today, tomorrow
who fights us ?
who wants to carture our spririts,
our soul, the land of the Gods and of the Light.
tell me Liberty,
since the wisdom of the spirit
stems from the Goddess Athina,
when will the Marble sculptures return?
when will the restoration of the Parthenon take place?
when will the light become the flame of enlightenment
for all of humanity again!!!!
