Stig Shift #25 (Aircraft Maintenance Adventures)

Here we go again, time for another day time for another adventure. This one is a long one. As I said in the video, if you actually made it to that portion of the video, please let me know if you would like me to segment out the full length video and divide into partitions. I know it’s very difficult to sit there and listen to this type of lengthy production. Otherwise, I hope you guys enjoyed it and please make sure to leave your feedback and help me help you in educating and teaching. If I said anything incorrectly, make sure to correct me and I will address those concerns.

Thank you as always, and I’ll see you on the next adventure

Personally Stig, I love these long form videos. If it is too much at once, we can always pause and come back! No big deal at all. We can never get too much Stig at one time.

Well Stig, for what it's worth on my part, the longer and more detailed and technical, the better. There are plenty of channels on YouTube for just watching aircraft, but I think that pretty much all of us are here for the technical aspect of things because we not only find beauty in watching them but we also see just as much if not more beauty in how they work and function so if the result of that is long videos then I genuinely think the longer the better... For example, I started watching this at gone 3.30 am and I am absolutely glued to the screen still and I will honestly be watching it all again tomorrow too.

Stig, I’m not in the aviation industry nor will I ever be. I’m into a whole different career which I love but I am and have always been an avgeek. I started watching your videos for the geekout factor but continue to watch them due to your consistent positive attitude. It’s infectious and it’s a bit of what we all need, regardless of what one does.

5:11 thank you for saying this stig. I get so many people that immediately Irk when I tell them the Cessna I fly was built in 1970. I wish more people would realize that these aircraft are under strict regulations that allows them to still fly even after 50 years. People should understand that most of the small planes and even small private jets they see are most likely from before 2000 yet they still fly because of the FAAs regulation on Maintenance and Manufacturing. Its also why everything in Aviation is so expensive.

You amaze me; your level of knowlege, your enthusiasm and your ability to communicate well. I enjoy watching these videos and I learn something each time. Yes, they can be a little long, but if that's the case, pause and continue to watch later. Thanks....and I mean that.

Thank you for presenting the true meaning of Memorial Day. It isn’t picnics, it isn’t sales, it isn’t shopping, it’s not anything but remembering our Vets who served & sacrificed for our Country & it certainly isn’t politics. Your videos are great & shouldn’t be cut into sections. Whatever is easier for you; after all you are doing us the favor of sharing & we certainly appreciate you & what you do. Bless you. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

One of my American A&P buddies texted me info on an old A319 I was on, I had NO idea it was that old - looked absolutely immaculate. Nice smooth quiet ride… wonderful aircraft, I can’t even begin to imagine how many passengers it’s moved around the country.

Stig, thank you for honoring our Veterans. I proudly served in the Army for 23 years. It's nice to hear people still appreciate the service and sacrifice of those who have served and continue to serve and of course those who made the ultimate sacrifice. Also, definitely like the longer format better. So count my vote for longer the better. Dont split them up. 👍

Please, please keep presenting it in this long format! I can ALWAYS press pause and come back later…but if I’m free having to arbitrarily wait for another “part” is disappointing and frustrating! You’re doing so many things right with this channel and I’m UNBELIEVABLY happy to be a part of it…thank you for bringing us all this!

I work on the production side of the house for a major aviation defense company and i think you're doing it absolutely right! It may be a long video, but you are explaining everything and not just generically brushing over stuff. It's almost like an A&P course without the certification. Keep up the tremendously great work! I think these videos single-handedly are getting people, especially the youth, excited about the aviation maintenance field. As always, JOB WELL DONE, SIR!

No don’t split these videos up! We true aircraft nuts can watch anything you put out no matter how long the videos are and still want more. Thank you! Beautiful tribute on Memorial Day, that was special.

At 25:05 I’m pretty sure that’s an air connection where if you connect air to that there are jacks underneath the car that drop down and lift the car up quickly so crews can do tire changes and such

Best episode to date. Keep 'em comin' as we love your content and the knowledge you bring to us aviation fans. I appreciate the effort you put into the research and editing that you must do for every episode as it must be considerable. You are a legend my friend, I thank you.

The silver one is a Ferrari FXX K Evo, purpose built track car. Only 40 ever produced. 1036hp and yours for only $2.6m.... You didn't mess up Stig. That's a Dino (246 GT, I think). Those two under the covers are 499P Le Mans Hypercars, and the one next to the Dino is a 296 GTB.
