readability-cli -- Firefox Reader Mode In Your Terminal (readable) - Linux CLI

Показать описание
Firefox Reader View in your terminal!
readability-cli takes any HTML page and strips out unnecessary bloat by using Mozilla's Readability library. As a result, you get a web page which contains only the core content and nothing more. The resulting HTML is suitable for terminal browsers, text readers, and other uses.

I used it as configuration for newsboat: "browser "readable %u | w3m -T text/html"" and it works amazing for reading news and I don't need to switch from full html version to readable one. Great video :)

It would be great if the terminal text would show up centered on the screen and limited text width so you wouldn’t have to read very long lines all across the screen

so tempted to install this, but nodejs...
I'm reading and keeping allot of links in my various scripts, and I'd normally open them right in vim. using `<C-w>f` then `:%! w3m -dump %` to enable syntax highlighting.
This has all the potential to be a life saver. oof. hope you're well my friend
