How does Insurance work in Tarkov? Is it worth it, and how can you use it to your advantage?

In this guide, we explain the mechanics of insurance in EFT from the beginning and break down the costs to show why we should be insuring everything before we go into a raid, especially when taking budget and value gear.

There are also some useful tricks to know that will improve your game or efficiency, such as how to use insurance to amplify the amount of loot that you can take out of the raid, how to have insured items held for nearly a week with the traders and how to not lose all your stuff accidentally to Ragman!

Insure or be poor :) How often do you get a juicy kit back?

If you kill a level 1, take EVERYTHING he has. It's a way of welcoming people to Tarkov. I only do it to level 1s, not really lvl 2

Another thought about insuring bad armor: even if you have to sell your armor to Fence after getting it back,
because it got damaged beyond being worth a repair- you will (almost?) always get more money back than the insurance cost you.

Surprising to see someone actually using the GSSH headset
Feels like ice going down my ear any time I walk through a bush with those

There's a warning now for that Pilgrim hand over quest. It tells you there's something inside that bag so just keep selecting new ones until it just takes it and that's the empty one.

This is pretty true for the new / low level player. As a veteran, when i am in the mid, end game. I never touch a low level, maybe the comtac, heal etc but i even discard the new fellow, hope they insured it :D

i dont mean this in a (motivational way) but from how useful all these videos are and how many things are told to me in 1 video, you definitely and most definitely deserve more subs. no doubt about it.

One trick I like is using the MP-153 as my starting gun, kit it out with the pistol grip. Get it to be 7x2 squares in size, even if they loot your body they'll ditch that massive gun. Plus it's so cheap they'd rather ditch it for any other gun instead in their weapon slots. Easy insurance returns

another helpful tip is to make your primary weapon as huge as possible, weapons in arms and back don't consider size so carrying something like a tapco SKS with a suppressor will more likely remain with your body (although you'll probably have a few attachments missing)

also I insure my melee weapon because I like to take antique axes off of reshala and the boys, and the small form factor of an axe makes it easy to hide. I also insure my SICC case, because I can toss out a cheap key to hold a bitcoin and keys are very hard to notice randomly on the ground

I noticed you right click every time when you want to discard something. A tip is to bind discard to a button, like mouse button 5 that i use. When you are dropping gear in-raid you usually are exposed and looting a chad, so you want to do it fast. A tip is to search his pocket while you take all of his gear, and then run away and search rig etc.

This video makes me feel so much better. Even when I play with garbage gear I just never take risks at all because i am just to scared of losing all my stuff.

If you ever take out your docs case or sicc case to "move stuff around" your a mad man :D

Tbh I didn't learn anything new about insurance BUT... Why have I never thought of bringing separate ammo/mags for scavs?? Thank you for that pro tip!

aren't the ammo boxes insurable ? and ammo inside them is safe ?
PS: ammo boxes are small (1*1 or 2*1) ... ammo case is big (2*2) ... I'm asking about ammo boxes
