VW Phaeton 2 - should VW build this luxury sedan?

Yes, they need to build this and keep the Arteon in the US! It's so sad to see amazing sedans getting scrapped before production or in the case of the Arteon, a mere 5 years after production.

I owned and ran a Phaeton for 11yrs and thought that it was a superb vehicle. Such a pity it was pulled. If only VW had done a better job of the marketing and branding ....

The 1st generation was one of the neatest and the most decent looking big sized sedan at the time.
Luxurious but humble, powerful but fuel efficient, expensive but not too expensive when it comes to its segment and quality overall.
I definitely loved its ride quality back then and I remember my father always told me that it's fuel efficient considering its size.
He still remembers and misses it and he's telling me it is one of the best choices ever he chooses to buy.

I love the idea of the original Phantom. You have a powerful luxury sedan in a stealth form, most people think it's just another Passat. Unfortunately, most people want to brag and boast, which is why we don't get another generation.

I wonder how come they never put speakers in the back seat side panels of the Bentley gtc, Like bmw m8 convertible or the Mercedes Benz cabriolet. Those convertible cars have rear speakers. But I would still purchase this lovely automobile nonetheless.👍
