Massenet is an undervalued composer. His tunes are melodic and romantic.

Such a lovely piece indeed!  My daughter is currently working on this number on the violin, she is 11 years old and doing one heck of a job on it.

It's all about 2:45-3:45. Massenet you sly sentimental mélodiste, you. Je t'aime.

Thank you. The version I know is for cello, piano and voice. I once made a music minus one recording, singing with a famous cellist's recording. Luckily we have a middle-section here. Yes It is one of the more well-known tunes in the ballet "Manon" which was relayed yesterday. However the presenter put his foot in it. No. There is not a note from Massenet's opéra-comique "Manon" in the ballet "Manon". He also mispronounced "Prévost" the author of the novel.
