Yammie didn't ride the HD because he knows it got a taste for his boots and wants more.

I wanna see more yammy Harley content. Something about yammy hating Harley gives a comedic duo vibe.

Same power as a Super Duke after mods? Come on, man. It's fine if you want to push 'feel' and 'character' but if you bought a HD for performance you bought the wrong motorcycle.

Many European motorcyclists:
"I rode a Harley and it sucked"

Harley riders:

These were the two bikes I narrowed my search down to for my first bike many years ago! I chose the SV and never regretted it - in fact, I still have it (although it hasn't been on the road for a while . . . since I got a GSXR!)

I get that motorcycles are not rational purchases, so buy whatever floats your boat. I got an SV and love the thing, and I imagine most riders would. Feels planted yet nimble (~140 pounds less than the harley; the weight of a person), great engine (90 degree V-twin inherently vibrates MUCH less than a 60 degree twin), super reliable, good brakes (at least since the 2019 factory upgrade). The V engine configuration makes it slender and contributes to the nimble and responsive feeling. I am 6'2" and find it comfortable. 60 mpg local roads, 50 ish when going at super legal speeds on the hwy. Added MRA windscreen that works great and makes longer rides more comfortable. Enjoy whatever you are riding.

The heart wants what the heart wants, its not all that rational and seeing them side by side, I'd take the HD

I got me a Suzuki GSX-S1000 and I love it! It’s smooth as silk and pulls hard tons or grunt and it will scream to 11k rpm you are leaving town in a hurry. Just picked up a new set of pirreli diablo super Corso’s 2’s I cant wait to get them on next week! Credit to revzilla man my back tire was made coupe weeks ago and came to my door almost over night! Quality service there. Front tire was made end of 19 so it’s nice and fresh to! Sexy set of tires I love the writing on the edge!

My first bike is a 1990 Suzuki Intruder 750, don't know if that's good or not, but I'm just happy to be on 2 wheels

I’ve got a 2018 SV650 and I love it. Super solid middle-of-the road bike. Got enough power to have fun while not being twitchy and scary. I commute with it every day. It’s my second bike but I definitely could see it being a first bike because of how tame the throttle response is.

You have one great option Yammie the Sv 650 is so much more bike for the buck.

When you get an 883, you don't get a motorcycle, you get the potentiality to spend more money trying to get a motorcycle. Strange times.

I never understood the praise about that "American V-Twin". It makes less torque and power for the same displacement as the Japanese and European bikes, it is less fuel efficient and it even has a great deal of vibrations. What is it to praise about? It is the same thing with the car engines in "European/Japanese vs Americans".

I feel like the Shadow or Vulcan are infinitely better 'beginner' cruisers than the sportster...

I really like to live in a Country when bikes are cheap and you earn much money, because you can call a 650 cc a begginer bike
