I had mine for a week now and what I like the best about the TV then last years it the Picture quality the Colors looks so rich and beautiful

Have fun with the Triluminos' appalling color shift (white turns pink) when off angle by more than 20 some degrees. I'd rather have the diminished black level on the F8000 when off angle rather than the awful color shift on the W900A when off angle. Forums also show a lot of dead pixel quality control issues with the W900A. Lots of angry customers doing replacements. Customer can save themselves the frustration by getting the lighter and more stylish and higher contrast Samsung F8000.

Yeah but you never know, they might have a breakthrough in the way they manufacture the panels and prices will then considerably drop.

Im 95% sure I will get one this weekend. But still part of me thinks Panasonic LED TV colours just look better.

I was in between those two. After a side by side comparison at Best Buy, the Samsung was the clear winner. In fact, out of the "sea" of TV's at Best Buy, the Samsung stuck out like no other, brightest display, stupid deep black level, and maintained brightness from almost every angle. It also has the thinnest bezel and most minimalist design. If you want the lowest input lag available if you're playing competitive shooters and don't mind compromising on video quality, get the Sony instead.

Then why did you ask "this or sony w905a"? I have my F8000 as an extended desktop monitor as well. The aesthetics of the F8000 are better than the Sony and the stand works better with my furniture. Also, the brighter image was key in my decision because of ambient light in my living room during the day. I suppose I could pick up a W900A for the game room but for my office, it's perfect.

The only TVs that will buzz are the panels of plasmas. If a power board has capacitors that are buzzing then you should have that power board replaced which Samsung will do under their warranty. That's too bad that you had bad experiences, the F8000 is a fantastic TV. Has excellent contrast, best motion resolution of any LED TV, no blooming, best minimalist aesthetics, and practical Smart TV features. If you prefer the Sony, then buy it. I'll enjoy my F8000. Use complete sentences next time.

I read that firmware 1.1.1.0 has fixed or improved the game lag on the TV. Can anyone confirm this?

For any ignorant people who think the Sony W900A is better than the Samsung F8000: go to hdtvtest.co.uk... The Benchmark Tests and review bear all. The F8000 is the superior TV. Too many compromises in the W900A as well as awful haloing due to the lack of sufficient dimming zones. Also inferior motion resolution on the W900A compared to the more plasma like motion on the F8000. Also awful color shift on the W900A vs loss of contrast on the F8000. I'd take the latter like anyone with eyes would.

The tv isn't poor. :o
The only thing is that YOU are too poor to buy it.
The SAMSUNG UE65``F8000/8090 Is probably the best Tv that is not a UHD/4K Tv for over 40.000$ That you can buy. ;D

Yeah, you can't follow basic grammar and punctuation let alone form any coherent substantiated thoughts.

I can't take you seriously when you form sentences like a 10 year old. I don't like plasma panel buzz and fan cooling noises and I don't like the ugly W900A's styling and bulkiness that would mess up my living room's decor. If you want the slightly higher color gamut Sony then by all means, get it. I prefer the higher contrast, minimalist design, and features of the Samsung. So eat me if you don't like it. I really don't care what a YouTube commentator claims, I go by professional reviews.
