Royal Enfield Scram 411: UK First Look 4K

This is my 'First Look' video at my 2022 YouTube bike. It's the new Royal Enfield Himalayan Scram 411 in Graphite Red.
Full specs are on the Royal Enfield website so I won't repeat them here. It's the UK spec bike with the Tripper Pod and ABS as standard and the EU5 compliant engine. This video is a walk round showing some of the features and closeups of the wheels, bash guard, radiator guard and a view of the dash.
It is the first of many and to launch the series of Scram videos there will be this, closely followed by my 'First Ride' video later in the day and also a 'Trail Test' video.
After that, I'm still looking at what parts I can source. It's a brand new bike, and I need to work out what works for me and what I can upgrade.
All of this to follow!

Thanks for watching.

I've had a Himalayan and believe me, I loved the bike. Lots of off--road with it. This new Scram looks nice👌! Congratulations 👏👏

Wow, congratulations on getting Mrs. Peak Motorcycles to let you get another bike!
The Scram looks like a great choice, and I’m looking forward to seeing what you do with her.
Happy Trails

Hey, a new bike, Andre. Very interesting choice, looking forward to more videos.
I'm back from ten days of (scooter) touring in Germany and back on the Transalp this weekend leading a group. Have to catch up a few of your vids.
Enjoy the Scram, Günter from Nürnberg/Germany

Great looking bike apart from the red side pods.

Hi Andre, I’ve been to my local RE Dealer today and I noticed on the 2 new scrams in stock, neither had a cable tie on the bottom of the rubber fork protector and the chrome was showing in parts, I fiddled with them and it became clear although the forks had what looked like a retaining ridge for one it seemed that it would be not that effective due to its position. My reason for looking in this area was to see if I could raise the front mudguard with spacers and new bolts for both aesthetic and practical reasons.
I’m running on a small iPad and couldn’t see clearly if yours had the cable ties attached. Good luck with the new motorcycle.

Very interesting mate I'd highly recommend getting some spare relays to stick under the seat. Nathan Milwards e5 Himmy popped his fuel pump relay one. Not sure if they have sorted it yet but worth having a spare to save a breakdown.

Had a look at one yesterday but no demo ride available . Nice to see they have dropped 15kg from the himi thats alot of weight. Suppose with zero racking and no centre stand it soon adds up.. Think for the money and the warranty its good value. I may well get one myself.

7:30 That requires some skills to park vehicles that close to each other 😀

Good mini review and surprised how big it is compared to the Ducati. I’ve a Himalayan and love it did LEJOG on it last year one of the best mini adventures Ive ever done. I live over the Churnet Valley and ride Winnats regularly on my way to the Yonderman cafe ( retired !) Lovely area for the himmy ( my 1250 rt gets overlooked far too often ! )

Looks good Andre :-) Just wondering if it would have been worth the wait for the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 RAID

Nice looking bike. What is always difficult to see, is how the bike would fit me. At my height, 6'2", it may be a bit cramped. If the person doing the first look video would show himself astride the bike, with his vital statistics, it would be helpful. Here in the States, we expect to get the bike sometime this fall. I am very interested in this good looking ride, but how it will fit me is critical to any decision to purchase.

Evidently they put a lot of thought into the seat. I have come round to rather liking this bike. 7:42 This shows how diminutive Ducati Scramblers are. You have a CB1000R! Beautiful bike. Mind you, it also looks rather small, and that's not something I've thought when I've seen them in dealers. Has the Ducati been reliable, Andre?

They could've atleast give optional alloys and tubeless tyres.

- an indian born who used to get a lot of tyre punctures so now has a phobia of tubed tyres

I have a question about the red bits on either side of the gas tank. It looks like they are barely attached. Are they removable? Do they have a purpose?
