We were fortunate enough to have friends in Plains. They tipped us off to a friend of theirs who was renting their house out so we grabbed it.We can have our critters ( horses, dogs, chickens). We’ll rent until the housing market gets its sanity back, then we’ll buy. Finding storage wasn’t easy. Had to go to Kalispell for that. Six more weeks and I’m “home.” Can’t wait!! Yup. I got hired by the State, with a start date in Sept., been looking for a rental home since early May. So many scams, so many applicants for homes. Now I’m looking at apartments, fingers crossed.

It's possible to find as of now. Where we are is $2195 near Helena. Finding a place that's cheaper with more freedom is hard. Worse if you have a dog. Moved here cause it's home and I can't even afford it. I make over 10k a month and I dont understand how anyone can afford the market these days. Ridiculous
