How to Flash a Custom ROM on the Galaxy Gear (Using Recovery)

Now that you have root access, it's time for the fun stuff. Here I'll show you how to flash the most popular custom ROM for the Galaxy Gear from developer fOmey (who you should definitely donate to if this procedure ends up helping you). This ROM has a ton of features you can find listed here, but suffice it to say it turns the Galaxy Gear into a full-blown Android device complete with live wallpapers, Play Store, and removes the Samsung signature verification so you can pair the Gear with other devices (although Gear Manager still won't work without some tweaks I'll show in a video later this week). Interested? Give it a try, it's quite easy to flash a custom ROM on the Galaxy Gear.

Second, first you need to do before you put the device into the download mode is to put null_23.exe file onto your device with the help of the MobileGo as on the tutorial. Then you go to the download mode and flash the rom with the odin (launch Odin with the Administrator rights). And then after the flashing from the Download mode you go directly to the Recovery and install the null_23.. Good luck, guys!

I have the same problem as Gustavo Lebron! The Samsung logo blocks the recovery app from filling the screen. Can you help with this?

So after 50 tries (You didn't make it super clear that we have to uncheck ALL options in ODIN)  seeing how much it killed my battery, I tried to reset it to defaults.  Ended up bricking my Gear because now the recovery is aftermarket and there is no backup!  Yay.

Followed everything, after it finishes everything it gets stuck on the 'Downloading..." screen. I tried repeating the process multiple times and tried reinstalling the stock rom and doing it again but it keeps getting stuck. When i tried to just reinstall the stock rom, it won't connect to my phone. What should i do?
EDIT: nevermind on the wont connect to my phone, forgot to disconnect it, still can't seem to get the rom working though

I flashed everything and followed all the steps, I even unrooted and rerooted and flashed everything. I still end up with being in download mode at the end of the day. Can you make a response video or something to this or at least a separate post just for these problems?

Help me... When i try to install null rom... After i use Odin and i want put my gear in RECOVERY... It starts with INSTALLING CUSTOM UPDATE... and not the recovery for null rom. Help me

Same issue as most everyone else here...cannot see enough of the TWRP recovery screen to select any buttons. The Samsung splash screen takes up 3/4 of the screen. I re-downloaded and re-installed the TWRP recovery file just to eliminate possible corruption but got the same result on my Verizon Note 2. Please help!!!

I did everything u said, got the recovery until I set the gg to download mode and tried dowoading the null 23 and for some reason wondershare is not reconzing the decivse....please help! Thanks

PLEASE HELP

I wanted to flash my Galaxy Gear with custom ROM null 23 (latest). I followed all the steps that you showed in the above video (I rooted it first with the impactor) and everything went well, till I reached the recovery mode. When I tap recovery, the gear goes into stack recovery instead of custom recovery and reboots my gear back to its original setting. I tried it 3 times and the same result. Is there any other way to do this?
Please help!!!
