I live near to a really small aerodrome in Castellon, Spain. Well, they have a PC-6 there for skydivers, and the pilot gets quicker to the ground than the skydivers. Amazing aircraft, this video put a smile on my face when I saw the runway aspect on final.

An owner of a Porter flew from NY down to Covington La for the winter. He checked out our Cessna 182 pilot to fly it for the DZ. Needless to say he was in seventh heaven as were we jumpers. This was the late 80's or early 90's. Best fun and laid back DZ I have ever jumped at.

I love the porter
When I was in the army the pilots we had were amazing and I watched one one day come in for a landing and we had 15 knots down the runway
And he throttled it back at 10 feet and hovered then backed down the runway about 100 meters and then throttled back up and flew off
Pre mobile phone days so no video evidence unfortunately as it is something I would like to see again 👍👍

This is how I fly all planes in FS2020. Glad to know 1 can actually handle it!

PC-6 Turbo Porter was the first aircraft I ever skydived out of.

Amazing how quickly they get down! While maybe not practiced, I feel like knowing how this is done would be good for all pilots for emergencies when you need to descend extremely quickly - such as cabin pressure loss or something on fire.

I am a student pilot still practicing with a Cessna 172 in Dallas, I really enjoyed your amazing video, good piloting skills and a good camera recording everything. I got a gopro camera but I am still wondering the way to install it on the cockpit, sometimes I am able to watch unbelievable details in each flight like traffic, birds flying really high and even drones. If I have the opportunity I just grab my phone to take a brief video of 10 or 15 seconds long and from that I can take a picture too. A few days ago I just had the experience practicing the slow flight maneuver an the wind was really strong with more than 40 knots so the instructor found the way to fly against the wind plus our slow flight with an average of 35 to 38 KIAS and suddenly the aircraft was not moving at all, just suspended in the middle of the air, then we discovered we were flying backwards, my instructor took the control to allow me to take a video. Wow, that was a very unique experience.

Amazing!
I dream of operating a radio once in a trubo prop flight with beta range... .like the turbo porter or the twin otter....

I hope I get the chance once.
