The reason the coefficients in the last example do not account for the division by 2 is because in factored term we can write it two ways to solve for x. x+2/3 = 0 and 3x+2 = 0. In synthetic, it implies that the linear factor is x+2/3 which is why we get the coefficients of 3 and not 1. its like slide and divide, however instead of keeping the factor as a whole number, we keep it as a fraction. Hope that helps...

For the third example i think you meant to write, x cubed minus five x squared plus three.

I like these quick videos but I also noticed that these quick videos also contain more errors. Such as the last division, in which you divide the numerator by 3 and end up with the constant of 9 / 3 = 9. And at 1:39 you write that -6^3 becomes -6 but you say that it becomes -3.
