They are an amazing band and Billy Corgan is a genius

The thing that has stood out to me most about the song is the deep contrast between the sarcastically depressing lyrics and the dreamy, uplifting guitar work.

Love that songthat’s what I’ve always understanding said meaning to be. Then CL goes on Stern+lists(bc I bet she thinks this song is about her!)a plethora of hits allegedly written about HER+although I've heard her throw around some tracks as inspired by her when she claimed this 1(fairly recently.) I rocked hard AF when Siamese came out, had the same meaning then(like Vedder who is “still alive”)+suDDENLY decide that as being about “Dirty Blonde” (incarnate) 30yrs later?!

My father said it was based on the day Corgan decided to not kill himself

The Smashing Pumpkins apparently have a singer made out of lead.

(If the narrator is correct.)
