My little sister was obsessed with getting to go to Hooters when she was a kid, specifically because she asked my dad what it was and he told her it was a chicken restaurant where the waitresses wore costumes. Of course that would make any kid want to go! I’m not sure when she learned the truth about Hooters, we definitely never went as a family. 😂

Can we take a minute to notice that Company Man did a video about Hooters and used the logo instead of a picture of one of the waitresses for the thumbnail.
A man trying to grow his channel on the information provided, not clickbait.

I’m surprised you didn’t talk about the Hooters girl who won a contest thinking she won a Toyota but when she was given a Toy Yoda, she sued & won. 😂😂😂 happened in like 2002.

I had a roommate who worked at one for years. She absolutely loved it. She made insane money. She could pay her rent on one night shift and the wings are actually good at least at her location they were.

My grandfather used to love Hooters wings but didn’t want to step foot near a Hooters so my grandmother would go get them for him. It was both funny and sweet

Discrimination is allowed when it comes to hiring actors/actresses in theater. Hooters hires people who fit the character of a Hooters girl. I see absolutely nothing wrong with it. The bs that managers have pulled against employees is terrible.

You've got to give it to Hooters. Forty years in the restaurant business and they still haven't gone tits up like the vast majority of food establishments.

Thank you, Company Man, for discussing Hooters. 🧡 As a former Hooters Girl, I have many memories and stories I could share. One that comes to mind is when I worked at Pointe Orlando, and a family was vacationing from overseas. They attempted to see through the tinted windows but had no luck. Myself and another server opened the door and welcomed them in. They assumed we were all topless, and were afraid to come inside. After showing them around the restaurant, and them seeing that we were fully clothed, the family of four stayed and ate lunch. The family was kind and appreciated that we all took the time to greet them and make them feel welcome. I worked with a fantastic staff at three locations. The job gave me a deeper appreciation for individuals in the food service industry. 🧡

I really appreciate the impartiality here- it’s incredibly easy to slide into rhetoric when talking about places like Hooters rather than just stating facts and informed opinions, but you presented it quite well

I just love the idea of someone in an incredibly serious tone saying "I go to Hooters for the food". I'm sure there's folks out there who genuinely go there for it and I throw no shade their way, but it paints a funny picture in my mind like saying you subscribe to Penthouse for the articles.

One aspect about Hooters you didn't mention, pretty much the only reason I ever went, was because they would show large pay-to-watch sporting events, most especially UFC fights. Yeah, plenty of bars did too, but you could go to hooters with underage friends to watch a UFC fight for relatively cheap. I think the rise of UFC really helped Hooters back in the day, because otherwise I never would have gone in, and funny enough I stopped going when I didn't watch UFC.

I used to work at a school that partnered with Hooters for a "Wings for the Kids" fundraiser every year, where a certain percentage of Hooters' proceeds would go toward the school. Turns out that the founder of Hooters and the founder of the school were longtime friends. Who knew!

Good looking female wait staff always make more money. Hooters is just honest about that.

When I was 10, me and my dad were working on a research project for my class and after a hard days work, we decided to go to Hooters. My dad discussed how the waitresses wore revealing clothing, but I remember telling him how I didnt buy it. Later that day, I ate my words.

The undercover boss episode where the manager made the girls eat beans from plates happened a mile up the road from me. the restaurant has terrible reviews from service to food

Hooters is iconic and a testament to “sex sells”. Love it or hate it, breasteraunts are a multimillion dollar industry

I will admit there was more than one reason why my friends and I frequented Hooters when we were barely old enough to drink. As I grew up a bit though it became all about the wings - ok, almost all about the wings. I would challenge the cooks to make the wings absolutely as hot as possible and it became a bit of a game. Several fun stories that had nothing to do with skimpy outfits or endowed women came out of that place. I wish them continued success.

My favorite Hooters scandal was from 2001 in Panama City, Florida where whoever sold the most beer in a month would win a prize implied to be a car, but was actually a "Toy Yoda".

I don't remember any of this but back when i was a baby, my dad and his navy buddys brought me with them to a Hooters. They used to were a whistle that would hang just above the shirt. Apparently, i kept reaching for the whistle but i was too short and kept missing. It was embarrassing for my dad because his navy buddys kept teasing him about "his 4 month old son was getting more action than he was."

My boyfriends dad took him to the local hooters when he was 15 or 16, just to tell him at the end of the meal that their waitress he had been flirting with the whole time was actually his estranged cousin. My boyfriend never went into another hooters again. His family is not healthy lol
