God did not allow Solomon to have 1000 wife. But God give everyone free choise. Free will. Either to walk in the spirit of God or to walk in the flesh. It a free will. Who does we love.

At the end of the day Solomon paid a price for his disobedience. God never gives anyone permission to be disobey His Orders... He warned Solomon three times before it even happened to guard himself from those strange woman... but he did what he wanted and oh how he regretted it in the end. Thankfully he repented and turned his heart back to LORD Yah ❤

Therefore be not like Salomon who in his perfect wisdom sinned against god, but be like Jesus who holds perfect love.

Deuteronomy 17:17

This verse directly commands that kings of Israel should not "multiply wives". It also states that taking on many wives will turn the king's heart away from the Lord. 

1 Timothy 3:2

This verse states that church leaders must be "the husband of one wife". 

Mark 10

Jesus quoted Genesis 1:27 and Genesis 2:24,  

These are some of the MANY Scriptures that forbids multiple wives.

The only men who were told not to multiply wives were bishops. Duet. 17.

More than just Soloman had multiple wives/concubines. Moses, David, Gideon, Jacob all had multiple wives. Sarah gave Abraham her servant Hagar to have a son, she became his wife/concubine. (Genesis. 16)

Soloman was not punished for marrying them, he was punished for serving their gods. Jacob's wives/concubines Rachel, Leah, Bilhah, and Zilpah birthed the 12 Tribes of Israel.

I could be wrong but in the new covenant is where it was brought to having only one wife and one husband. I don’t think it was in the old testament of the covenant about only having one wife. I can’t explain it well.

I thought it was 700 wives & 300 concubines. 1Kings 11:3. Because he slept with those side chicks, they weren’t wives.
